Moments of self-care

No matter how much I try to avoid it, life can sometimes get a little too much. And during those times I need to pull back, make room for sorting my thoughts and emotions. And for me, nothing is better than those quiet early mornings, with a warm cup of coffee and time to write.


Self-care is giving the world the best of you,

instead of what’s left of you!

We live in a time where being busy to many suggest success and productivity. We strive to fill our calendars with all kinds of activities, and are so easily distracted because we’ve created a life full of demands that count on us. Our fear of missing out and our strive for perfection makes us forget one important thing: self-care.

Self-care is showing kindness and respect for yourself through things that make you feel good.

For me, self-care means taking time to practice yoga, write from the heart, enjoy a cup of coffee in silence, eat good food, go for a walk in fresh air.. The list can go on.. But how often do I set aside time for these things? All too little.

Self-care is one of those things you know you're supposed to do. But actually getting around to it, not that easy! But here's the thing: The busier you are, the more important self-care becomes. 

I will not list tips and tricks on how do add more time for self-care in your life, because only you know what works best for you. What I on the other hand will do, is give you a friendly reminder of the importance of taking time to be alone, recharge your batteries and find what feels good <3
