I gave Bikram Yoga a try

Being ambassador for FitnessCollection I get access to a lot of different studios all over town. And since the whole point is to try new things, I jumped on the one thing I never thought I would try; Bikram Yoga at Bikram Yoga Östermalm.

Having heard different stories of people who leave with severe head aches and others who have fainted, I naturally was a bit sceptical. On the other hand, Bikram Yoga is said to have lots of health benefits; like increased flexibility, glowing skin, detoxicating your system etc.

Luckily Mo came with and we joined a slow, 60 minutes yin yoga class. For those of you who don´t know, yin yoga is is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time.


Like always I was went from loving it, to hating it, and back to loving it again, but all in all a very good experience. I loved the heat, not as warm as I thought, and having made sure to drink lots of water both before and after, I felt very good. And the feeling of slowly stretching your body after all the bootcamp classes I have joined, hallelujah!

So, this Saturday I am giving Hot Express a try, adding more movement and sweat to the class. Lets see how it goes!
